A blind contour is an art exercise that works by drawing the contour of a subject without looking. The drawing is made completely blind and with one continuous, unbroken line of the entire subject.
This exercise is meant to be freeing of both judgment and expectations of one’s own art work and ability. By letting go and being present in the moment, both eyes and hand seem to create their own art, despite the disconnect between them. You are almost certainly guaranteed to end up with something you you didn’t mean to, but will accept without judgment of done right.
